Terrain: Red deserts, sulfur pools, mountains, lava lands Key Locations: Nym's base One of the first planets in the Karthakk system to be colonized, the harsh world of Lok was originally home to outlaws, who saw the world as a potential staging ground for raids into the Mid-Rim. Over time, Lok became known as a "pirate world," where anarchy and violence were the only constants. Lok has fairly varied terrain, ranging from the dangerous sulfur pools to bubbling lava pits. The landscapes are generally foreboding: jagged mountain ranges, long expanses of baked desert, and desolate flats are typical environments on Lok. The presence of pirates and others is evident in the shipwrecks, burned-out bases, abandoned settlements, and destroyed vehicles that litter the planet. Before the Battle of Naboo, one of the most prominent leaders on Lok was a Feeorin pirate named Nym. The hardy alien - who has only become more formidable with age - spent many years battling the Trade Federation. He is now a local crime lord, but it is also rumored that he is very sympathetic to the Rebellion... Players who visit Lok can expect to encounter a wide range of threats, from marauding pirates to the local wildlife, most of which is decidedly dangerous. However, those who prove themselves to Nym will gain access to a number of lucrative and exciting missions.
Area 1 Much of this area is barely passable so as such not much can be found here. What you will find are some angry Flits and other various creatures that don't like their peace and quiet disturbed by noisy speeders and blasters. Area 2 The most densely populated area, this zone is home toNym's Stronghold and the only Starport on the planet. If you're in good with Nym you can find a wealth of quests here. As you wander around you just may wander into a Marooned Pirate or two. Area 3 With most of this zone being mountainous and empty, not many adventurers find their way here. It may just be the spot if you want to casually grind your combat level on Perleks, Langlatches, and other creatures. Area 4 Things start to get a little more dangerous as you venture further south on Lok. Expect to see more Pirates with their ranged weapons as well as the occasional Gurnaset, Salt Mynock, and the like. Area 5 This zone is home to Kimogila Town which of course means it is also home to quite a lot of Kimogilas. You can hear their footsteps from pretty far away so tread carefully else you may find yourself stuck to the bottom of one of the reptiles' huge feet. Area 6 You can't go far here without finding something worth checking out. This area alone houses The Great Maze of Lok, The Downed Bloodrazor Transport, and The Great Kimogila Skeleton. And lest ye become a skeleton yourself, be on the lookout for many types of enemies including Kusaks, and of course many different types of Pirates. Area 7 With lowlands and mesas dotting the terrain, this area is bountiful in creatures and other mobs. As with every section of Lok, there are Pirates and Mercenaries. You can also find Vesps, and Gurks, and more. Area 8 Back into the mountains brings us back into areas that not many traverse. Still, you can find life in every corner of Lok and this is no exception. Look out for the adorable Pharples, their cute looks belie a serious foe when challenged. Still more beasts and Pirates can be found here as well. You can't go far on Lok without finding a Pirate from one of the three Pirate factions on the planet. Area 9 Members of the Empire will want to seek out the Imperial Base and the quests that await them there. You can also find the Canyon Corsair's Stronghold and with it a bounty of Canyon Corsair Pirates. Among the creatures in this zone is the docile Snorbalthough it will put up a hell of a fight when challenged. Area 10 The far southwest zone of Lok is where you'll find the most inhospitable weather and a few inhospitable foes. Atop Mount Chaolt you can expect to be greeted by Spined Snakesthat aren't very keen on sharing their mountain. Down one slope you will come across the Droid Engineer's Cave and not surprisingly some extremely aggressive Droidekaswho shoot first and ask questions later. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

I hit Cntl+V to get the planetary map... if you select "Cloning facilities" on the right it will give you "Imperial Outpost" as an option. That shows you were the imperial outpost is. I created a waypoint for it and ran into the rebel recruiter on the direct path toward the imperial outpost. Good luck

many kimos surrounding this small town.
One bit of oddness...On the surface , the map shows buildings and bridges that aren't there , and they don't match what's in the droid cave. I can only assume that there is somthing ELSE in the volcano , but we all died before we could find a door , and didn't want to do the hour long walk back.
If anyone knows more about this , please email me.

-It's harder than the starter planets, of course. For combat, I'd recommend a group of at least three people of Specialist combat skills. The more, the better, because there's much here you can't fight.
-There's only once city and it has a very low NPC population. I don't believe either the Rebels or the Imperials have much of a presence here, but I could easily be wrong. I just don't remember.
-Pharples are the easiest prey on the planet, easily soloable by someone with Advanced combat skills.
-There's a small flying creature here with a ranged attack, who's name I don't remember. While they were definately harder than Pharples and will help each other, they are probably second in line for ease of kill.
---Langlatches are your friend. They aren't aggressive, and move like molasses. I believe most planets have a comparable creature. Due to their lack of speed, these are easy prey even when they are more powerful than you are.
-There's a larger flying creature (also with ranged attack) who's name also escapes me (Pervek?). They are just as hard as Kusaks in some ways, yet easier in others. Their ranged attack isn't as powerful as it's melee attack. They are on the "scavenger" AI and will stalk you.
-There's a large herd creature similar to the Bagerasets of Corella. I believe the name begins with G.
-The Kusaks (dogs) are pack animals and will help each other if you attack them. You can outrun them with Burst Run. These will stalk you. There is also a relatively wide range of power in these animals. The easiest are equivelent to the small flying creatures, and the most powerful equal that of some of the humanoids.
-Then, there is, of course, the Kimogila (sp?), which is the Krayt Dragon of Lok.
-Now for the humanoids. There are a number of "Nym's xxxxxx" humanoids and Droids who, at least in beta, weren't on a faction. If I could fight one alone, I could kill it and run up and loot it without fear of it's friends. As with all humanoids, they will help each other. All of the humanoids being their difficulty about equal to that of the last flying creature I mentioned above.
-The Pirates (not of 'Nym's') are on a faction, though I suspect they may not be aggressive by default. I could be wrong.
I have a mission to deliver a message to someone and would like to complete it.
