Rori
Notes:
A moon of Naboo, Rori is an overgrown, wild world dominated by oppressive gray skies, thick jungles, and think swamps. Unlike Naboo, Rori is not widely populated. In fact, it supports only two small colonies, which are separated by a giant, reed-infested bog.

Rori's history is somewhat contested by Naboo scholars. Some claim that a small contingent of Naboo's original human colonists actually landed on Rori before traveling on to the more temperate parent planet. If this is true, those early settlers left no obvious signs of their stay. Others hold that Rori remained unsettled until a small group of spice miners decided to relocate to the moon in search of fabled spice lodes. Some spice miners do, in fact, inhabit Rori, but they live in a primitive lifestyle and have no records of their first landing on the moon. Officially known as the Rori Spice Mining Collective, a group of honest spice miners who sell their goods to pharmaceutical companies. They often engage in turf wars with the Kobola spice miners.

Whatever the truth, Rori was officially colonized about two thousand years before the Battle of Naboo, during the short-lived reign of King Narmle. Although widely regarded as a charming and intelligent man, Narmle was a restless explorer who spent most of the time visiting distant worlds in search of new vistas. The Naboo Royal Advisory Council soon suggested that Narmle relinquish the throne and become an ambassador. Before leaving office as King, however, Narmle perosnally planned the construction of a small settlement on Rori. He envisioned that Rori would one day become an active agricultural hub, supplying food and medicines to other neighboring planets. Unfortunately, Rori attracted few settlers. Frustrated, Narmle left Rori and vanished into the Outer Rim forever, although the city he helped build still bears his name.

In the centuries since Narmle's disappearance. Rori's population has grown only slightly. During an outbreak of brainworm rot some two hundred years before the Battle of Naboo, the Advisory Council commissioned the construction of a second spaceport on Rori; this city, known as Restuss, was used for decades as a quarantined processing center for colonists traveling to Naboo. Although both Restuss and Narmle were built by Naboo architects, most of the moon's current colonists have been drawn from other, less hospitable worlds, including Iridonia and Ryloth. The Gungans, who colonized the Naboo moon of Ohma-D'un, have also established small outposts on Rori.

The Naboo rulers have typically viewed Rori as an extension of their domain. As a result, Rori does receive regular supplies from Naboo and travel between the moon and it's parent planet is routine. Members of the Naboo Royal Security Forces are stationed in both Restuss and Narmle, and Rori's governor sits on the Naboo Royal Advisory Council. The Empire also views Rori as little more than a small Naboo outpost and expects all of the moon's inhbitants to remain loyal to Emperor Palpatine. In reality, Rori's denizens are far more independent than the "planetary" Naboo and it is believed that the moon harbors some Rebels.

Battlefield is located at neg 1400, 4000

Terrain: Swamp, hills, cities, mountains, grasslands - Terrain similar to Naboo
Key Locations: Rebel Outpost, colonies of Narmle and Restuss.

Rori is one of Naboo's moons and shares a number of traits with its parent planet. Just as one might describe Talus as a "creepier version of Corellia," Rori can be described as a "more bizarre version of Naboo." The forests and other vegetation are said to be more twisted and knotted than Naboo's plantlife. The strong resemblance between architecture on Rori and Naboo is no accident, for the inhabitants are human colonists from Naboo.

Rori is making its first appearance in the Star Wars continuity through Star Wars Galaxies; it has yet to appear in any of the films or in the Expanded Universe sources.

View images of rori and it's surrounding space in our gallery:

Area 1
You won't find much in this mountainous corner of Rori besides a small Rebel Base and some very high combat level mobs: 52-60. Keep on the lookout for creatures like the enormous Nudfuh.

Area 2
The main item of note in this northern swampy area is the Imperial Hyperdrive Research Facility. Expect to find mobs around combat level 44-52.

Area 3
In this relatively low combat level area is the small colony of Restuss. You'll find many amenities here. The area is also home to a Giant Bark Mite Cave and the Cobral Hidehout.

Area 4
This small zone is relatively harmless. When you can find mobs like the diminutive Squall, expect them to be around combat level 38-46. They travel in packs however so don't get caught by too many at once.

Area 5
This zone spreads far from north to south and hosts mobs of combat level 48-52 for the most part. It is also the home of the moon's resident Gungans who can mostly be found in and around the Gungan Swamp Town. These aren't your normal friendly Gungans... all the more reason to mow them down! *ahem*

Area 6
Area 6 is one of the more dangerous zones of Rori with combat levels ranging from about 48-56. Deep in the mountains to the east is the location of the Kobala Spice Mine. It's well guarded so approach with care.

Area 7
This small zone is full of swamp land and so was considered a great place for the Garyn Raiders' Bunker. They're not fond of visitors.

Area 8
The lowest combat level area, this zone is also the location of the city of Narmle. It's a great place to start to help prepare you for the rest of the moon. A common mob found here would be the Gualama

Area 9
Heading to the east you can find higher level mobs and the location of the Poacher vs Creature Battle where the creatures fight back in this no-win scenario.

Area 10
The southern portions of Rori are pretty tame when it comes to combat levels, especially in the south west. You can expect to find Tortas near the Pygmy Torton Cave. In the foothills of the mountains further west is the Imperial Encampment.

Area 11
The southeast is similar in many ways to the southwest, most notably in terrain. Watch out for the vicious Borgle Batsthat roam near their cave in this zone. You can also find a Rebel Outpost that is home to a Rebel Pilot 4 Trainer.

Looks like it's at -600, -2000 or -700, -2000

It's right on the -2000 line, so just use Waypoint 0000, -2000 and go due east from it once you arrive.

I know that at least some species of Torton spawn babies. Not only have I seen a few in the wild, but one of the very first creature pets I ever saw was somebody's Torton that they were showing off at Restuss City Bank.

I was out wandering around and came upon a small building with around 6 rebel commandos and 2 rebel majors standing outside. After killing them I walked to the front of the building and my radar filled with red. There were tons of rebels underground. Since I was by myself I decided not to try and push my way down.

The location is +1133, +4541 if anyone wants to have a peek.

Does anyone know the coords to the Hidden City on Rori? There was a way to find it in beta by looking up trainers but they fixed that and I forgot to write down the coords to there before game went live.

On Rori at -1100, +4500, there's an Imperial base that's mostly underground. It has a number of Imperial officers, including an Imperial Major General.

The generals and some others are willing to converse, though their only question is whether you want to help them.

There are all manner of Ror-Gungans all over the place. There are at least 3 groups west of Restuss. Plus some isolated Storm Troopers that give missions and many many Maulers.
