Among the galaxy's most fearsome species, Trandoshans are large, threatening
reptilians from the planet Trandosha (or Dosha). Trandoshans are
physically powerful, very difficult to injure, and capable of
recovering quickly from even the most serious injuries. Like many
reptiles, Trandoshans hatch from eggs and have thick, scaly skin. Their
three-fingered hands are armed with sharp claws, which can be deadly
weapons in combat. They also have supersensitive eyes that can see into
the infrared range.
Trandoshans live in a warlike society that honors hunting above all
else. In fact, Trandoshans worship a female deity known as the
Scorekeeper, who awards "jagannath points" to her followers based on
successful kills. The number of jagannath points a Trandoshan
accumulates supposedly determines his or her position in the afterlife.
Many Trandoshans channel their society's values into roles as bounty
hunters, soldiers, or rangers. A handful of the most violent and
immoral Trandoshans serve the Empire as slavers who target other
species, including Wookiees. But, Trandoshans are also independent and
may rebel against their culture. A scientifically-minded Trandoshan
might become a peaceful "hunter," working as a xenobiologist who merely
tracks and studies other creatures. Even on Dosha, Trandoshan society
relies on its own engineers, merchants, and even farmers.
Trandoshans are widely distrusted throughout the galaxy, in part
because of their frightening appearance. And, in fact, many Trandoshans
are gruff, unpredictable, and even dangerous. They rarely form
long-lasting emotional bonds, even with other Trandoshans, and may be
more likely to join forces with others for personal gain rather than
friendship. But those who have allied themselves with Trandoshans are
always impressed by the species' uncanny fortitude, unflagging resolve,
and unshakeable calm even in the face of certain death.
Trandoshans are strong and resilient, but slightly clumsy and not among the brightest characters in the game.

I'm a Master TKA/ Master Commando and regen can be useful.
For example ... I will buff up, drink some brandy, eat some crape, use powerboost (TKA skill), and then (if it looks like it's gonna be a "tough crowd")I will use regen to topp off.
However, I think it can be even more useful once the buffs are gone. I can eat or drink to buff my mind, powerboost for my action stats, and then use regen for my constitution, etc.
Also, after a big battle, regen's useful while you're meditating and will help heal wounds and restore your health quicker, however I'd probably not waste a regen turn doing this (Unless, I was about to be attacked again).
The only thing that really bothers me about the regen is the "once per hour" limit.

kirby says F**k to b!tching t('o't)
any good boots or gloves that ley wear?
any info is great.
Oh, and secondly, ive been hearing about how bad@ss the master bh's are...would a master tka+master fencing be competiton for the BH (pvp) or would the tka get owned? just thought i'd ask..any feedback would be awesome, thanx.
They have the best skill mods out of any brawler proffesion which means massive melee defense and defense vs kncodown and such things definelty go with fencer/tka with tka for damage
But I have been playing for quite a while, and now I wish I had selected human or rodian for my bounty hunter goals , since my trandoshan has bonus' for unarmed. If you plan on making your character the absolute best at what you want him/her to do. Then RACE is a HUGE deciding factor. And I submit again. . . even though any race can be anything. . they are NOT all equal when it comes to absolutely maxxing out your char's abilities. Some good thought and processing should be done before you choose your race. IE what do I want to do? what will I suceed at? What do I enjoy doing? am I unarmed or with a gun? etc.
"Excuse me maam, but do these pants make my shins look like they belong on a Malkloc?"
"Yeah, chicks dig the malevolent red horizontal blinking eyes."
"It's not easy being green"

It allows me to wear a very good set of enhanced composite armor. They are:
Health = 1000
Strength = 600
Constitution = 700
Action = 650
Quickness = 450
Stamina = 400
Mind = 770
Focus = 490
Willpower = 490
- Oh, and btw, someone said that being a Trandoshan Commando was a stupid idea because of the action penalties it takes.
In fact, it takes hardly any to use your flamer etc.
-Anyway, good luck.
Get your TKA. They are so good at unarmed that it's just silly not too. I figure you need one good distance skill, either rifle or carbine, and a good up close one, and for a Dosh it's an easy choice. I started my character thinking 2 handed pole arm would be the best up close choice, got all the way through novice pikeman with a cool vibro axe, and it is good. Problem is it's kinda slow and it misses a lot. I almost never miss with my dude unarmed, and throw in some nice vibro knuckles once you reach TKA novice, get them sliced, and throw a powerup on it and you are SO in business!
Now for the bad part of being a Dosh, mainly the action bar. Because of the low maxs on mind and action and their secondary abilities it cost a dosh a lot to do any special moves that are action based or any mind activies, like healing. But you can get around that with a little medical knowledge and a few health/stim packs. Some scout skills are also nice, they go well with the bonuses the doshes also get for creature harvesting, and you'll need the camps to heal up.
Either way, the dosh makes a mean fighting machine and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to have a great straight up fighter. If you want to be good at a lot of things, be a human, but if you want to just rock in battle, I don't know of any other race better than the doshes.

P.S. And I just figured out why the Doshes get all the unarmed bonuses... because they're the only race with claws on their hands and feet! :)
Therefore, you end up with 61 free Skill Points to do whatever with. You harvest as much from creatures from Master Rangers, and you save 43 Skill Points to boot. As a Master TKA, the rest of your bonuses fit in nicely.
61 Free Skill Points leftover, AND you're a Master TKA AND with the fastest speed as a Ranger! It's how to spend the 61 extra Skill Points that's the hardest part. =)
i'm a Trando Master marksman, Master Scout, Novice CH, Unarmed III, and working towards BH. I wear a set of chitin...(all but hands and feet).
Now that you know all of that...I spent all my time over the last few weeks soloing this character. Only recently did I start grouping. I could solo anything that wasn't red. You can regen once an hour or so, that with burst run you can tear stuff up.
Now that I'm guilded, and I group alot I notice more often then not, the only thing in my HAM that drops (HAM=heath, action, mind pools fo da n00bs) is my action...why? Becuz Trando's ROX !! I watch my teammates get pounded while I just blast away.
So those of you wanting and starting to play this toon hang in there. I'm very happy with this one and what I've been able to accomplish...I'll be a BH in a couple days now.
Gonna Get Novice at: CH
Gonna Get good(but not master) BE
Gonna Master TKA
Scout 1) for speed, 2) to get to BE, and CH.
Medic 1) for healing, 2) to get to BE
Artisan 1) for food and drink, and sampling
Entertainer 1) for fatigue, am on sunrunner never anyone in the bars.
Brawler 1) cuz I am cool, 2) to get to TKA
Franik - Sunrunner
Morfranic - Rodcet Nife
Zranis, Wanderhome
And I think the guy who replied to your post is right, that guy you talked to is prolly upset that he went TKA and now he can't do anything without getting close to someone and wishes he could be a BH. But, he is right that Trandoshan's are good at unarmed.
In summary, I am a Trandoshan Bh and I love it. Go for it!
Sev'tra
However, right now no armor seems to be the way to go.
As stated, being currently a Teras Kasi Student, the biggest issue I have is slow regen rates on Action due to the lower cap on Action controlling stats that Trandoshan suffer from. Mind is low as well, I am concerned abou the head shots. My wookie friend could one shot me (Expert Rifleman and can hit for over 500 already on head shots) with a head shot (Trandoshan cap is 450 mind).
You got to get the Unarmed tiers, all of them.
You also have to get Master Marksman. The you can go Commando. I also grabbed Scout because of camps/speed/and creature parts to sell. So far I have 30k in bank just from Hides/Meat, not including Mission money.And when you try to get the unarmed tiers, there is no reason to spend money, so you will have a nice bank account once you master that tier.
Oh I sell 200 hides for 4k. and from what i seen thats cheap.
When will they put a race acceptability tag on the damn items???? I want to turn in fps to get some Imperial gear ... bad enough I get screwed and pay double... but will I be able to wear it ???
ANYONE who know what trandoshans / non humans can and cant wear PLEASE post it somewhere . Im not buying another damn thing until i see another Dosh in it.
I guess my question is wether or not these descriptions have any real influence on their performance. As a bothan is described as an excellent spy (smuggler).
Anyways ... your ideas ???
Yay and stuff and stuff
