It's not at all suprising to me to see that nobody has posted here since Oct. 18, 2005, considering the way Lucas Arts and SOE treated the fan base they ALREADY HAD. Yes a few things needed to be fixed, but damn! I left when the CU hit, I would've never guessed NGE would come. Obviously like everyone else, I had no idea what they really wanted to do. Oh well, it's all water under the bridge now. In a few months we'll have FREE pre CU servers! hehe, haha.....

WOW I have come back to SWG after 2 years and man have things changed.First of all there are Jedi's.
When i last played there was still no Jedi's yet on any server.I was a Master TKA at the time and was part of the Imp Guild Ghost. Not sure if they are still arond any.This new CU is really messed up i remeber trying to get unarmed exp for tka and being able to equip i vibroknuckle from the beginning for easy exp for the brawler tree. now i have to have a CL of 14 to use one.I guess there are alot of changes in this game that i will have to get used to. like a medic being able to heal with out useing a stim pack.in fact player cities was just getting under way when i last played.owell well whether i go Master TKA or something else i do know that the template i build will be solely for the purpose to eradacate the Jedi's.Whether i go back to imp or rebel or dont join a faction at all im not sure. well i would probally go solo before i go rebel but any how i will hunt down the jedi and once again my name will be known as one of the top PVPers on the server like in the good old days when me and a few friends like Guts and Eldamar used to take anchorhead on with just us 3.Hopefully with the new CU i can find a good template to slay jedi's but we will see what happens as for now im running 230 credit missions in bestine with my 2-0-0-0 brawler so it will be awhile till i get to jedi slayer status. Anyone know a good template for killing jedi's???????//

you know what I don't like about Bria (note.: I played since day 1 on Bria and it's my home)

The mentality of enough players so you can easely be bothered by it. Some rebels act like stupid ppl attacking your targets when you ask them not to engage, stealing your loots, Commandos and BH are sure they are so strong that they don't care about the other players, you have the impression that all the immature kids playing the game went as rebels..
Meanwhile The imps are controlling the economy, roleplaying, helping each other, respecting the fellow faction members.

Hell, The imps are supposed to be the @#%^s, unrespectful, twisted minds but currently this role is taken by the rebels.

one point, I do not think that all the rebels are the same, I have good friends playing rebels. I saw really good players playing rebels (TF members as an example). but I have to say, when the difference really started to bother me as a rebel I swithed sides. I'm now an Imp and I'm happier.

I think Bria is an excellent server.<period I've made char's on several others, but it seems like the peeps are much friendlier, and laid back.... :) Ping times are usually very decent, and I've never really had problems with it.
And SWG is the best MMORPG :)

I cant get on half the time. And when I *am* on, my friend cant get on. And when he is one, I cant get on. I am getting major lag from this server. Its down a ton of time, and then when it comes up it says "Server Loading" for like 45 mins.

I do not have these problems with any of the other servers...

Whats the deal?

I've been debating if armor's detrements make it actually worthwhile. Anybody with more experience able to enlighten me?

I had talked an EQ friend into trying SWG. She was still learning the very basics while we were right outside of Mos Eisley. Then a Mountain Squill chased somebody right past us and straight into town. I dropped to prone and started blasting at it. Soon I was hearing a tremendous amouint of blaster fire and seing several bolts going past me. I pulled out for an area view and there were about 10 of us shooting at the thing. The Squill was just about dead when two of Jabba's Thieves started attacking my friend who was also prone and new enough she didn't realize what was happening. I pop up and start fighting them, and so do about 4 other people. We saved her and by that time the Squill was deadas well. The moral of the story is: there were no megastrong guards at the gate. We had some problems and together, as a community, we handled them. No relying on NPCs to save our lives (or sell us clothes and weapons for that matter). This is a part of what makes SWG so great. You don't play there, you live there.

Personnaly, I find it refreshing to think that there won't be a large amount of Beta testers on Bria. For the most part we will all be in the same boat together. Not ALL Testers are evil, but I do not care to be labelled a Newbie on a game less than one week old. Those self-righteous ones who would look down on those who have committed the crime of not being a beta tester need to do just one thing...grow up. Planning to have fun in spite of those petty few that make the loudest noise. Again, not mean mouthing all testers, just those that would mean mouth me. May the Force be with us

I prefer to join the servers with the least amount of beta testers also, so I can avoid their whining and powergaming...

Bria has been up and down, but I was wondering if in general, when stable, is it one of the better servers to start on. Any tips?

Any1 can help me? Im from Brasil and wish know how server is faster and witch is theirs IPs to ping them. I played the beta on Bria, but now, with a lot of new servers I need ping to check the speedy and distance. I dont know yet the final release but on server choice has some ping option? Anyone can help?

there wont be any beta people on bria... it was the first server, and it was also the one with the most problems. the stabillity was only marginal, and i personaly would just like to let the n00bs have it. if there was a server down, it was bria (untel the last few weeks before launch, then it was ahazi) and that whole "enimy camp spawning in frony of your house" thing really annoyed me, it happened twice. i can speek for the beta community as a whole, but i wont be on it.

Dang it! have to wait for shipment of the game:(
I hope i don't end up on some other server rather than bria as it has been my favorite during beta days.
