_______________________________ Well bye for now I be posting alot more Probly remember ROME rocks!!!
Is the game worth getting if i have dial-up or will i lag out too badly to play? I have good enough computer specs to run SWG but im not sure if i would be ablwe to play good with Dial-Up?
You need to max out all of Marksman as well as Exploration IV from scout to have access to the Bounty Hunter profession. (I believe) That the requirements changed since this post was made, because alot of the guides that were written when the game was released indicate that you need all of the scout trees.
ok ya have pistols rifles and carbinse can some explain the diffrence in the way the 3 diffrent guns are used and the fighting tactics to each and the what stats go to wich i know riflemen need lots of mind and focus so thay can use there specals a lot.
also im thinking of doing ranger with eather carbineer pistoleer or rifleman some say rifleman is best to accompany ranger but this is me we are talking about and not yall i just want to see the way each three are used so i will know wich one will best suit me and the way i think.

Can someone explain carbine speed. Someone told me that for every 10 speed it takes off .1 second on the attack speed for the gun. If this is true then It doesnt really seem like you will even be able to notice the difference with a slow gun like a carbine or a rifle.
hi guys, i dont play yet but i will soon, and i was thining about bieng a smuggler/pistolier (both master if possible) or a carbonear/architect (or a riflemen/architect). i just wanted to know if you have enough skill points to master any of these combos, thanks
What is the scoop with a Republic Blaster It is says under my skills that I am certified to use it, but once I equip it says I don't have the skills to use it properly. Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Ok im just planning my whole skill mod and such and such, when i find out i cant do what i want I am becoming TKA(I WONT GIVE UP!!) Tailor Rifleman and trying to just get scout so i can run faster and hunting so i can understand mobs better, but i wonder....is rifle man worth it? I heard ppl say it aint so good
That heavily depends on Ur playing style. IMHO Rifleman is the most powerfull class in PvP & pretty good in PvE. Ppl who said it doesn't worth it probably were not compatible with this class. I have to agree that for Rifleman some complimentary short range profession is close to be a must like Pistoleer, Brawler (2hand sword not TKA is recommended to continue hit Mind pool) or a pet or 4. But with HS3 & good Laser Rifle I have dropped Reb PCs in 1 shot quite a few times. MS2 is huge too & there is NOTHING those Combat Medics can do about it besides relax & enjoy. Rifleman probably will loose 9 out of 10 duels. But in a big fight when U have a bunch friendly PCs ahead of U shooting & taking enemy attention. 2-3 prone Riflemen R awfully devastating for enemy ranks
I am using a 37-467/6.0 Rifle with Headshot 2 cost being 100 mind power every single time. A 67-134/1.9 FWG Pistol with a special 13+ at point blank range. I used to have a 10k Nox's "Old Red Eyes" Carbine, only for 3 days, after the patch yesterday it disapeared, it was 92-182/2.4 with 12 action cost I believe. All these items were only 14k for the rifle, 3k for the pistol from bazaar and 11k for the Carbine.
I am a Trando with migrated stats and found that the easiest item to use is a Rifle, (Luckily mine is uber! Even for a while had a power-up from Braccus that did 39-568) I find that Trandos have very poor Action Management, I maxed them all on stat migrate and mind is still twice as efficent. Anyways, Id like to know if these items are decent, good or r0x0r :P
Id like any suggestions on improving these guns or saying they couldn't possibly get any better or whatever :-) Bloodfin Server
With my marksman i have expert pistol and i have a Scout Blaster 60-137, Atk speed 1.8. This bad boy cost me only 7000 credits, i would recomend getting one of these (crafted by a player, obviously)
I just recently got certification for the above stated weapons, and was wondering which one is generally(if both are properly made) better. My old DL-44 is getting worn out and it's tme to advance. My character's name is Grimz Mcgee and I'm in Mos Eisley on the Shadowfire Server.
Can someone please explain how carbine accuracy works. How much does it help and how much more damage will I do with 10 more accuracy? Also is there a limit to accuracy when it doesn't really help much to get it higher?
You don't gain more damage with the more accuracy you have, you get a better chance of hitting the target. If the target has more dodge points than your accuracy points than you miss more, and vice versa.
I don't think so, there may be a point were you ALMOST hit it always but you will miss sometimes and there is always a stronger (or faster I guess)creature to make a fool of you.
Has anyone seen a problem with a Laser Carbine only able to be equipped by a Overt Rebelor on a battlefield? Is this a nasty bug or some slicing trick?! Please help if you know anything about this!
If youre on chilrasta and happen to be in coronet do yourself a favor and go take a look at avecs weapon shop just outside of town. Some of the best weapons Ive seen...picked up a dl20a rifle with 180-220 damage, 4.9 delay and decent ham costs for 10k.
I am working on ALL profesions. It is fun to learn more than just Marksman per say. I am learning Artisen, Brawler, Marksman, Medic, etc. This will not hurt you at all. Learn as much as you can! And remember to Harvest all the meat, bone or hide that you can, when you can. You may need this later. Put it in the safety deposit box at the bank or stash it in a house that you make later.
The difficulty rating depends upon what gear you have equipped. If you walk up to a mission terminal going bare handed as a marksman, you'll get missions that are around 4 or 5. But if you equip your rifle and look at new missions the difficulty will be up to 8 or 9. Also, I believe that if you go up and you're in a big group, you can get even higher difficulty.

The best wep i have seen in the game so far and fary cheap and made by plaers are the laser rilfe. around 7 to 10 k. its dammage min sux at 24 but its max is 210. i can do head shots for 1100 and body shots from 500 to 1100 but remember its at random for a better combination try take cover threaton shot then fire at will threaton shot confuses the enemy and also you are bhidden kida so youget more shots off. I am on valclyn server and if anyone needs asistance with hunting i can help. we do tusken raids and get hella exp and loot plus i can give you hints on how to kills reds pretty easy
Are you required ( or is it a good idea ) to max out all your skills i.e pistol, carbine rifle and the other one .. before progressing to bounty hunter?
Hey all, I am working on my marksman abilities and I have an ability I have not figured out how to use. I have looked on multiple sites and have not found any information on abilities either. I have the Take Cover (Ability) with the advanced rifle skill and would apreciate any suggestions on how to use it. Thanks
Take cover rocks!! First take cover, then Aim, then Headshot, Aim, Headshot.... If your under cover the mob won't see you and attack you for about the first 3 shots. It works great.
I was thinking of making a smuggler/DE, any comments on this template would be appreciated.
Brawler with max unarmed(smuggler pre-req)
Marksman with full pistol and ranged weapon support(smuggler pre-req, and extra ranged and melee defense, alertness and accuracy.)
Smuggler with full slicing, dirty fighting, and spices. With first level of underworld.(I almost considered master smuggler, but unless someone can give a good reason for the underworld branch I don't think I should waste 9 more skill points on it.)
Artisan with full surveying, engineering, and domestic arts. With second level in business.(the pre-req for DE, with alot of nice clothes and armor options, the business is just sorta a last minute thing, to soak up the extra points.)
Master Droid engineer(I had to have at least one master class, and I always thought droid were cool, since the day I saw a lil mouse droid following a guy into a cantina.)
There, that uses all 250 skill points, and looks like it could be pretty fun, with enough offensive skills to keep me going when I get bored of crafting. As I said, any comments would be greatly appreciated, especially since I have only been in SW:G for a week.
Reldan on Bloodfin makes some decent weapons at very reasonable costs. Bought a Laser Carbine off of him for 9000 credits, 15-198 dmg 4.7 speed, and decent special move costs. Also got a DLT20a Rifle 100-155 dmg 5.1 speed and low to mid 20 special moce costs for 3500 credits.
Also, NoTig makes some good weapons. Friend of mine bought a scout blaster 56-120 with 1.5 speed from him, but 13000 credits.
Your best chance of getting good weapons is to start a relationship with a good weaponsmith. Weapons you see on the bazaar are never going to be top of the range, there either the left overs or second hand(not that there's anything wrong with them either). As you advance through your marksman training you'll want to upgrade weapons at every lvl, once your weaponsmith gets to know you you'll find that they'll keep the best for there regulars. If your wanting to be a bounty hunter you'll need to advance pistol/carbine/rifle and change at least 4 times, so it's well worth the effort. Starting species doesn't matter, seriously, the species bonuses don't make that much difference. Don't ask about Jedi, certianly not in the marksman forum, but mainly becasue no one knows yet(cool ha !). Try everything, I'm having as much fun learning all the new stuff as I am adventuring, you can always relinqish your skills to take up others, credits are easy to come by and the experience will only enhance your fun. Be excellent to everyone.
I've bought a DLT20a that does 114-183 dmg and 5.0 speed, and a FWG5 that does around 150ish max dmg and 2.0 speed, and a E11 Carbine that does 120ish max dmg with around 5.0 speed from Kiranie on Chilastra
With Weaponsmith advancments new and better weapons are steadily making an appearance. But be wary. Look at all the stats of the weapons, Especially the Pool costs. I made the mistake of picking a sweet rifle that did awesome damage... but I didn't check the pool requirements. First combat I was doing Headshot 2 on a Swoop Leader... I glanced up at my stats and notice my mind pool is almost depleted.. I quickly cleared the special attacks before the weapon incapacitated me. I examined the weapon and discovered that the mind pool drain was 67. My mind pool points are just over 400 =\. Read both Marksman guides on this site for more info about choosing weapons and what all the stats mean.
A guy named Kane lives on tatoonie in teh upper part of the planet,he is a master weaponsmith and makes excellent guns. I bought a Scout blaster that does 44-96 damage with 2.4 speed from him.
i have advanced to a expert rifle marksman but the only guns i can find are jawa ion guns and CDEF rifles. i have seached the bazzar long and had and still can find any.. could someone help me. name in the game is cemma thanks
The best guns are going to be made by Players, weaponsmiths to be exact. If some artisan will get crankin, then we could get some master weaponsmiths and get the good stuff, hehehehe. (that's a joke Artisans, I appretiate what you guys do for the rest of us.)
I just got a DLT20 rifle and DH17 carbine last night. They are starting to appear in the bazaar as weaponsmiths progress. Give it a little time and keep your eyes peeled, you will see them. You might even switch to view the bazaar for the entire planet. You might have to make a trip to pick up your new gun, but it is worth it.
The problem is that most of these "beginner" guns that everyone is looking for require an advanced weaponsmith to make.

Anchorhead. Just do delivery missions that pay less than 100 credits and you will get 5 faction points per delivery. The delivery missions are extremely short so to get 200 faction points will be very quick.
To become a bounty hunter you need to be a master marksman and scout. to become a jedi, basically its a secret, but what they have said is that there are secret things each profession must unlock. This unlocks a 2nd charecter slot for a galaxy. That is where the jed is created.
Since you start w/ pistol, work on that, and kill jawas, and other NPCs in the wilderness to get other weapons, and items, and credits. Buy a carbine or rifle asap, and work on getting master marksman one skill at a time. You will get master marksman in no time :)

Worry about colecting armor and weapon upgrades, gather money and ipromise you the skill will be back there raising the whole time.
remove your weapon for easier missions. i remove everything just in case and it makes a huge difference. give it a try if your having problems.
Since you are killing everything in sight, pick up the scout skill and harvest every kill.
might as well use that resource to build skill while you are working on your marksmenship skills.
/loot;/pause 2;/harvest bone
/loot;/pause 2;/harvest hide
/loot;/pause 2;/harvest meat
make three macros and use these. click one each time you want to loot. you will gather scout exp and materials to make useful items.
stimpacks are made with organics which include meat harvested off of your non-humaniod kills.
i am 1k away from master pistoleer, and thinking about going smluggler first, then keep building weapons skills and going bounty hunter later.
that may change but its a fun plan so far.
